Small Branch Village. A calm, peaceful, quiet town, filled with calm, peaceful, quiet people. Home to a calm, peaceful, quiet lab. It wouldn't stay for long.
A Nidorina morph ran into town, screaming at the top of her lungs. She had stumbled into a Rattata den on Route 1 while walking to the Village from Mirral Port. Now, no matter how many times she said sorry, the Rattatas wouldn't leave her alone.
As soon as she saw the lab, she veered right, still yelping. She could see the inside of the lab, and quickly ran through the 'opening'. However, she splattered onto the transparent door instead. She get to her feet, looking back at the Rattata. They were laughing at her! Oh well. At least it was better than trying to eat her. She shrugged, pulling the door open.
"Hello?" She called as she stepped in. "Anybody hoooo-ooome?"

A timid Buizel Pokemorph peeked his head around the corner. Where had that screaming come from? he thought. He noticed a pack of Rattata laughing hysterically. They were outside of a large white building, the lab. His heart leapt at the sight of it. That was where he would meet his partner and he couldn't wait!
He walked up to the giggling mouse pokemon. {What's so funny?} he asked. Choking down his laughter, the largest Rattata managed to control himself enough to respond. It seemed that he was the leader.
{Other morph runs into clear-wall.} he wheezed. {We scared her good, was very funny.} Then, all at the same moment, they seemed to grow bored. They rose as a pack and wandered off in the general direction of Route One.
"Well, that was odd." he murmured. He looked over at the lab and noticed a half open sliding glass door. That was probably the "clear-wall" the Rattata had mentioned. He smirked a little and walked into the building. "Hello?" he called, quietly.

A lone person crossed the small town towards the lab building, his hands in the ockets of his jacket, dark brown eyes fixed on the ground in front of him. A slight breeze tugged gently at his short light brown hair as it swept a stray leaf or two over the ground.
Nian raised an eyebrow at a pack of Rattata trotting towards Route One. Odd.... He thought, still walking. He noticed someone else, proboly another trainer-to-be, walk into the building ahead of him. Just great, he could see a few unwanted introductions in his near future. He stepped through the door, noticing a girl. Both of them seemed to be, what were they called? Pokemorphs? Yeah, that was it. He didn't call out any form of 'Hello', assuming the other two had already done that.

((I think he should be biased against Pokemorphs and call them sub-trainers! -is slapp'd for bringing fire emblem into a Pokemon roleplay)) A tall woman wearing a long, white lab coat walked over to the three from the back of the room. She had been sorting through Pokeballs. "Hello, I am Proffessor Willow," she said nicely, brushing her short, dark green hair behind her ear. "You three must be Talia, Maliek, and Nian, here to get your first Pokemon. I am correct, of course?"
Talia nodded rapidly. "Uh-huh! Right, right??" She looked at the other two, bobbing her head excitedly. She was full of energy, like usual.

Maliek looked between the Nidorina Pokemorph and Professor Willow. "Um, yeah, I'm Maliek." he said. Then he noticed the other trainer behind him. He hadn't even heard him enter. He noticed, first and foremost, that he wasn't a Pokemorph like himself and the other girl, Talia, he thought it was. It seemed odd to him, even though he had lived most of his life around non-Morphs. It was just so much a part of him, that being plain human made him shudder a bit.

"The one and only," Nian replied, not exactally as exuberantly as the girl. Actually not exuberant at all, he kept his tone nuetral. "I'm Nian, in case you hadn't figuired that out already." Huh, yeah. He sure looked like a Talia all right.
"Excellent, excellent. Now let's see who we have your the three of you!" Professor Willow bustled over to a nearby bow. With a flick of the wrist she sent mutiple pokeballs flying into the air, opening as they reached the uppermost point of their arch. She rattled off the names of the pokemon as they appeared on the ground. "Now therer we go!" She finished.
(I'm too lazy to list them all Xp)

Talia gasped in amazement as fifteen Pokemon came out of the little white and red capsules with a red beam. There were so many! "Wooooaaaah," was all she could say on the matter. She scanned through the fifteen, all lined up. She saw a hyper-active little blue crocodile, a shy weed with a body, a dancing red lizard, and a clumsy green turtle. the one that really stood out was a small green Pokemon with a large leaf on her head, sitting down and crossing her arms. Her expression was quite bored.
"OOHIWANTTHATONE!" Talia screamed, running over and sweeping the Chikorita into her arms. It grunted as the Nidorina morph started to squeeze it. "She's just like me! Can't you tell?!?!" Talia held the Chikorita next to her face, smiling. The Chikorita kept on the same, bored expression.

He looked at the Talia with amusment, a maybe a little fear. She was just plain odd. But he had to admit that the sight of the many Pokemon bursting from their capsules was quite interesting. When the flashs of light dimmed and disappeared, he looked at all the Pokemon in turn. He passed over the claimed Chikorita, if of course it wanted to stay with the trainer that was squeezing it to death.
Then he saw the Houndour. His pelt was shining black color and the bits of metal clining to him gleamed it the sunlight flowing in through the window. His eyes were a bright green and they sparkled with amusement, as though at some hidden joke. He took a step forward and kneeled in front of him.
{Hello,} he said in Pokemon language. {I would like you to be my partner, would you mind that?}
The Houndour looked up and seemed to grin. {Of course not.} he barked. So Maliek scooped him up and showed him to Professor Willow. "I'd like this one, please." he said.

Nian didn't move, his dark brown gaze passing over the pokemon, ignoring the Chikorita and Houndour seeing as though they seemed to have already been claimed. He didn't care, he proboly wouldn't have chosen them anyways. Were there any good pokemon here, he didn't see--Wait. His eyes rested on a small orange bird nonchalantly pecking at the ground. "Hello," He greeted softly, kneeling before the Torchic so he was closer to it's level. It looked up, cocking it's head slightly at him. "How are you?" He asked, still talking in a soft tone, nicer to the pokemon more than he was proboly ever to another human being. He prefered pokemon. The Torchic chroped, bouncing up and down. It skipped closer to him and nudged his hand. Nian chuckled softly, tickling it under it's chin causing it to chrip with delight more. Holding out his hand he allowed to pokemon to jump onto it. Standing he petted it's soft orange feathers. "Hello there, Nudge." He said, a small grin tugging at the corners of his mouth. He looked to the professor, nodding toward the Torchic that he held.

Proffessor Willow smiled as she looked at the trainers and their new Pokemon. The hyper-active Nidorina morph with her completely-opposite-in-attitude Chikorita, the kind Buizel morph gently patting his proud Houndour, and the soft-spoken human child holding his happy-go-lucky Torchic. "Well, if you want to name them, you should now. And after that," at that moment the woman motioned to different colored, pocket-sized gadgets laying on a table behind her. "These are Pokedexes. They record all of the Pokemon you've encountered, with more information if you catch them. You should each take one."
"Ooooooohhh!" Talia marveled as she ran up to the desk, Chikorita in her arms. She grabbed a teal-colored one, as it was, after all, her favorite color. She opened it up, focusing on her Chikorita.
Chikorita, the Leaf Pokemon, it said in a robotic, feminine voice. Chikorita uses the leaf on its head to determine the temperature and humidity. It loves to sunbathe.
"Cool!!" She put it in her bag, that she had brought with her from Kanto. She held her Chikorita close to her face, smiling. "Your name will be... Yukai! It means happy!"
The Chikorita just looked her new trainer in the eye, completely straight-faced. "No."
Talia thought, puzzled. "Maybe Myou? It means dark, but I'm sure you wouldn't li-"
"That one."
Talia shrugged, nodding. "Okay, Myou then!"

Nian took a dark red pokedex, holding it up to his new pokemon.
Torchic, the Chick Pokemon It said in an impersonaly, robotic voice A fire burns inside, so it feels very warmly to hug. It launches fireballs of 1,800 degrees F.
"Huh? Can you do that?" He teased the small pokemon, tapping her beak. The Torchic burped up a small plume of light smoke, chirping proudly. Chuckling he asked her" Nudge? Ya like that name?" For a moment he wished he could understand the landguage of the pokemon like the other two could, but he quickly banished the thought. Torchic chirped again, butting his shoulder with her head and bouncing slightly with excitement. "Is that a yes?" He chuckled,"I have a fealing it'll be apt."

Maliek looked over at the Pokedexs lining table. Walking over, he picked up the dark blue machine. He flicked it opened and scanned his new Houndour with it, who stood very still and posed in a regal and proud position. Maliek smirked as the cold, indifferent voice rang out.
Houndour, the Dark Pokemon. It conveys it's feelings by using different cries. It works cleverly in a pack to take donw prey.
"Nice," Maliek remarked, stroking the Pokemon's soft, furry neck. He grinned, exposing sharp, gleaming white teeth. "Fang," he said, thoughtfully. "I think I'll call you Fang,”
The Pokemon wiggled happily at the mention of his new name. {I like it, thank you,} Fang barked.

"Right then," Proffessor Willow smiled. "Now you can all pick your device." She took out a box with a devices of varied colors and shapes. "There's the Pokegear," she explained while pulling out a watch/cell phone-like device, "From Johto." She put away the device, pulling out a flip phone-like device. "This is a Pokenav, from Hoenn." She then pulled out the final, a watch device. "And this is the Poketch, from Sinnoh. They all have the same overall functions, scientists here in Konari have made sure of it. They only start with a few though; the watch, the map, the calculator, and the phone. Pick your device and color."
Nitra squealed, immeadiately sticking her hand in the box. She groped around until she pulled out a teal Poketch, slapping it on her wrist. "Tada!" She said, sticking her wrist in the air. "Isn't it pretty??"
Myou slapped her forehead with her paw, turning to Fang. "How did I get paired with such an idiot?"

{You didn't have to agree to be paired with her y'know} Nudge chirped to the Chikorita, half-fluttering over to the box. Digging through it for a moment she selected a poketech before bouncing over to her new trainer, presenting it to im looking pleased with herself.
Smiling slightly Nian took it from her beak, noticing that it was the same dark red color he had chosen for his pokedex. "Thanks," He said with a slight smile, letting her perch on his shoulder "Now I'll match"

Fang made a strange rasping growl, and it seemed to be chuckling. {She's right, you know.} he added. {You don't have to be paired with her, someone else will come along.} He looked over at Nudge and added in a whisper to her. {Maybe some Goth teen needs a Pokemon.}
Shaking his head at the Pokemon's converstation, Maliek came over to look in the box and pulled out a dark blue Poketech, with a black strap. He clipped it onto his wrist and turned so Fang could see his equipment. He nodded appreciativly. {Nice, it matches your Pokedex thing.} He nodded and tucked the 'Dex into his pocket where it would be safe.
